First look at new Corrie star Marc Baylis on set

The 34-year-old actor recently joined Coronation Street as Carla Connor's jailbird brother Rob.

He was spotted arriving for work this morning at Manchester's Granada Studios, which has recently moved to MediaCity, and posed for a snap with Alison King, who plays Carla, and Kym Marsh, Michelle Connor on the show.

Meanwhile Michelle Collins, who stars as the ITV1 soap's landlady Stella Price, and her on-screen daughter Jane Danson, who plays Leanne Barlow were spotted shooting scenes in the city centre today.

The ladies were escorted to filming by a security guard.

Catherine Tyldesley, the Street's Eva Price, also arrived arm in arm with her very own minder.

Catherine almost suffered a wardrobe malfunction as her cute blue and floral print mini-dress blew up in the wind.

But she managed to save her modesty by yanking it down just in time.

Bad boy Rob will arrive on the Street fresh out of prison and in need of his sister's help to make a new start for himself.

He said of his new role: "I feel incredibly honoured to be joining the very talented cast of Coronation Street. Rob is an exciting character to play and I am hoping he is going to ruffle a few Weatherfield feathers."

Corrie Producer Phil Collinson added: "I’m very pleased to welcome Marc to the cast â€" the latest in a long line of handsome Corrie charmers.

"Carla’s brother Rob is sure to set hearts fluttering in Weatherfield from the minute he arrives. The audience can expect thrills and a few broken hearts when this handsome bad boy hits town."
