Simon Cowell has signed the Britainâs Got Talent runners-up to his Syco label â" just as The Sun predicted.
The canny media mogul has booked them back-to-back studio sessions and last night announced their debut album will be out on September 3.
Thatâs an even faster turnaround than Susan Boyle, whose album I Dreamed A Dream was released six months after she was named Series Three runner-up.
A source said: âSimon knows that to make money from them he needs to move fast. Get the first album out as soon as possible before people have moved on. September is also a good time as The X Factor will be in its live stages so there is a chance to get them on the show and plug the album.â
The album will feature new songs and covers, including The Prayer, which the duo sang at their first audition.
They are working with producer Graham Stack who was behind the first three albums of X Factor opera stars G4.
Simon said: âThis show is designed to give people like Jonathan and Charlotte an opportunity. Their debut album is going to be stunning.â
Jonathan said: âIâm still pinching myself that we are actually making our own CD.â
Charlotte said: âThis is a dream come true for us.â
