The Britain’s Got Talent winner is heading to America by cruise liner with owner Ashleigh Butler this summer for a series of high-profile appearances and meetings.
He had been due to fly in Simon Cowell’s jet but as the multi-millionaire only hires the luxury plane it was a no-go.
Flunkeys at Simon’s Syco firm then tried to book the mutt on Air France, which allows small dogs to fly in first class with their owners.
But Pudsey was TOO BIG to make use of that privilege. The only other air travel option was a pet cage in the cargo hold and Ashleigh was not happy with that.
A source said: “Ashleigh doesn’t want Pudsey to fly to Los Angeles in a crate for 13 hours.
“I’m sure most dogs owners would agree that is not exactly a comfortable way to travel.
“Pudsey is a working dog and needs exercise and attention.
“Besides it would break Ashleigh’s heart to be separated from him like that for so long.
“So we are booking them both on a luxury cruise liner like the Queen Mary 2, which will take a few days to get to New York but it will be worth it.
“Once they are in New York they are allowed to travel on by an internal flight to LA, as you are allowed to take pets on board.â€
We told earlier this month how Pudsey already has a host of appointments set up in Hollywood.
He will be a guest on The Tonight Show with Jay Leno as well as appearing on America’s Got Talent.
Simon also plans to get Pudsey to meet some top Hollywood film agents with a view to snaring him a role in a film.
Ashleigh added she fancies the idea of Pudsey becoming the new Lassie.
