Ross Kemp laughed after he was shot at in Karachi while filming Extreme World

The former actor was in Karachi for the latest series of his Sky show Extreme World when he was fired at.

He told how he got caught in a tight spot while he was trailing a wanted man who was being chased across a roof by gun-wielding cops.

Ross, who once had bullets whizz over his head in Afghanistan, said: “This particular guy, Uzair Baloch, is wanted by the police.

“We go back to his base... and we get surrounded by police and he is standing there on his roof, going, ‘Are they coming this way, are they coming that way?’

“He moves away and I very cleverly stand right where he was standing.

“I’ve learnt that lesson now, because a round goes between me and Jonathan, who has been with me in Afghanistan as my cameraman.

“We had a little bit of a giggle which we had to cut out. You’re not allowed to laugh when you get shot at, which is what you naturally do.

“It came between me and the camera. You can’t slow down and see where it was, but I know the zip from being out in Afghanistan.

“It was a sniper round.”

The six-part series will also see Ross visiting a Venezuelan prison in which “dead and dying people were all around us in hammocks,” He also investigates the practice of burning “witches” alive in Kenya and Tanzania, as well as meeting an albino girl whose arm was hacked off by people who believe an albino’s bones contain mystical properties.
