The former actor was in Karachi for the latest series of his Sky show Extreme World when he was fired at.
He told how he got caught in a tight spot while he was trailing a wanted man who was being chased across a roof by gun-wielding cops.
Ross, who once had bullets whizz over his head in Afghanistan, said: âThis particular guy, Uzair Baloch, is wanted by the police.
âWe go back to his base... and we get surrounded by police and he is standing there on his roof, going, âAre they coming this way, are they coming that way?â
âHe moves away and I very cleverly stand right where he was standing.
âIâve learnt that lesson now, because a round goes between me and Jonathan, who has been with me in Afghanistan as my cameraman.
âWe had a little bit of a giggle which we had to cut out. Youâre not allowed to laugh when you get shot at, which is what you naturally do.
âIt came between me and the camera. You canât slow down and see where it was, but I know the zip from being out in Afghanistan.
âIt was a sniper round.â
The six-part series will also see Ross visiting a Venezuelan prison in which âdead and dying people were all around us in hammocks,â He also investigates the practice of burning âwitchesâ alive in Kenya and Tanzania, as well as meeting an albino girl whose arm was hacked off by people who believe an albinoâs bones contain mystical properties.
