The brunette will play a character named Emma Grayling alongside the Doctor, Matt Smith, in episode Phantoms of the Hex, according to her online CV at her acting agency Gordon and French.
It was recently revealed that the first episode of Doctor Who's seventh series will be called Asylum of the Daleks.
Other guest stars confirmed for the new episodes include Dougray Scott, Ben Browder, Rupert Graves, David Bradley and Mark Williams.
