SILK star Rupert Penry-Jones has admitted he hates stripping off on-screen â€" in case his kids see it.

The dad of two â€" barrister Clive Reader in the BBC legal drama â€" said: “My children are getting older and it’s not a healthy thing for them to deal with if I do a nude scene on TV.”

Rupert, who was Adam Carter in Spooks, added: “I did one in a play. It becomes the one part that doesn’t get boring.

“Doing a play every night can get tiring but standing in front of hundreds of people naked is terrifying.”

Series two of Silk kicked off on BBC1 on Tuesday, grabbing 5.6million viewers.
