Emmerdale star Gaynor Faye says she almost quit acting

EMMERDALE star Gaynor Faye has said she almost quit acting â€" before playing Megan Macey.

Speaking on ITV1’s Loose Women yesterday, the actress said: “I was thinking of changing my career â€" starting writing and getting into the script-editing more.

“I actually script-edited BBC1’s The Syndicate and I started thinking that was more for me. I wanted to be at home and see my kids growing up.”

But Gaynor took the role on the ITV1 show as she lives so close to the soap’s studios in Leeds.

She said: “It’s such bliss to be able to wake up in my own bed.”
