Towie: Tom Pearce says TV co-stars like Jessica Wright aren’t thick

The reality show star said: “We’re not all uneducated idiots, no matter what the critics might think.”

Writing in a blog on the Huffington Post website, Tom said: “For what it’s worth, I’ve got a first in economics from Loughborough and, believe it or not, Diags is a former law student.

"Jessica Wright has got a degree in business and marketing management and is very bright.”

Tom added that his cast-mates don’t discuss politics or the economy on the show as it would bore viewers.

He said: “People watch Towie to be entertained, not lectured. It’s not Newsnight or Panorama.”
