Jennifer Saunders’ daughter Beattie Edmondson causes a stir at BBC with Nazi sketch

The group, Lady Garden â€" starring Beattie Edmondson â€" performed a sickening torture-themed routine for Russell Kane’s show Live At The Electric.

Shocked bosses re-edited the programme at the last minute to tone it down before it goes to air tonight on BBC Three.

A source told TV Biz: “The episode has been rushed back into edit by BBC bosses after one of the sketches was deemed too macabre for its 9.30pm time slot.

“The sketch sees the girls dressed as Nazis, cutting up a pig and tying up prisoners.

“The show will be re-cut for the 9.30pm slot, with the original sketch going out in later transmissions of the show.

“It will be replaced by a softer Lady Garden sketch which will see the girls deliberating over an operating table.”

  • FUNNY girl Kathy Burke fears that too much saucy stuff is expected of young starlets nowadays.

She told What’s On TV mag: “I get really worried for young actresses and the things they’re expected to portray.

"They’re just expected to take their clothes off and do sex scenes.”

No doubt Kathy will be keeping her kit on in Sky Atlantic comedy Walking And Talking. It starts on Monday.
