Tim Westwood is sacked from drivetime show at Radio 1Xtra

The “Big Dawg” will now only present a Saturday night show.

He tweeted: “I’ve been sacked from 1Xtra Mon-Fri 4-7pm from sept.”

He later added: “I don’t like gettin fired #Westwoodyourefired.”

1Xtra chief Ben Cooper said: “Tim has been one of the most influential figures in UK hip-hop and I’m delighted he will continue at weekends.”

His weekday replacement will be Charlie Sloth.
