The singer, 18, was snapped earlier this week smooching her new boyfriend as they mucked around on a scooter.
Appearing on This Morning, Perrie said: "Obviously we are together, and everyone knows that now. I'm really, really happy."
The blonde babe also said that it was good that they are both working in the same industry  which sometimes means that they spend a lot of time apart  as it's more satisfying when they see each other.
Talking about dating someone with similar career commitments, Perrie said: "It's kind of good, in a good way. We (in Little Mix) think it's better! You're more understanding because you 'get it' and it's more exciting when you see each other."
Zayn, 19, has just gone back to the States with One Direction.
And of their time apart, Perrie said that she was so committed to the success of her band, she was too busy to miss him.
She explained: "We're so focused when we're in the studio, we've always got our mind set on what we're doing."
Show hosts Holly Willoughby and Phillip Schofield then quizzed the rest of their band on their love lives and Leigh-Anne Pinnock, 20, admitted that she is the only one that is single  but is happy being so.
Jesy Nelson, 20, giggled as she admitted that her blossoming romance is going well with Jordan Banjo from Britain's Got Talent winners Diversity, while Jade Thirlwall, 18, explained that Jesy introduced her to her own boyfriend  Sam Craske from the same group and they now go on double dates.
Little Mix, who won last year's X Factor with mentor Tulisa Contostavlos, said that they speak to the former N-Dubz singer regularly and they love being in the studio recording their album.
Perrie added: "We work hard but that's what's fun about being in a girl group, we have a laugh. We're always giggling, even if we're just chilling in the studio we can't stop laughing, just all the time so it's fun."
