The former Mis-Teeq singer â" who appeared alongside Simon Cowell, Amanda Holden and David Walliams on the ITV talent contest â" has admitted she is unsure about signing up for the next instalment of the hit show.
She said: âThey have said theyâd like me back but until I sign on that dotted line you just donât know.â
The Boy Does Nothing artist also said that she does not expect a phone call from Cowell asking her to appear on The X Factor.
Alesha said: âThey have not asked me. I am not waiting for that phone call.â
The ex-Strictly Come Dancing judge has no regrets about leaving the BBC One show for BGT.
She added: âI make decisions based on my gut instinct and it felt right. I have not got a bad word to say about Strictly, I loved everything about it during my time there.
âI embrace change though. I like to do new things and I think it is about evolving as a person.â
Alesha believes any of the BGT finalists could have won but Ashleigh and Pudsey came out on top because they stole the hearts of the nation.
She said: âWhen we got to the final few Iâd have been happy with Loveable Rogues winning or Jonathan and Charlotte.
âAll of the judges said that was the beauty of the final â" you thought every act was worthy of being there.
âAt that point it is down to the public and they do not often get it wrong. So that is why I thought the right winner won.
âWe all fell in love with Pudsey, the whole nation fell in love with the dog. It was genius and something different, unexpected and lovely.
âIt goes deeper than Britainâs Got Talent as we are a nation who loves dogs.
âThere are so many dogs in rescue homes. I think Ashleigh will be a great ambassador on the relationship you can have with an animal if you treat them well.â
