The 29-year-old actress plays an unhappily married teacher who falls for a teenage pupil in BBC1 drama True Love.
And viewers will see Billie, who previously played a prostitute in ITV's The Secret Diary Of A Call Girl, share a steamy kiss with Skins star Kaya Scodelario, 20.
A BBC source told The Mirror: "This storyline will get some criticism but it’s been well researched and is similar to real-life events."
True Love is described by the Beeb as an "improvised" drama series exploring overlapping romances in the same town.
Other episodes star David Tennant and Jane Horrocks.
Billie recently gave birth to her second child, Eugene Pip, with husband Laurence Fox.
True Love is on BBC1 tomorrow at 10.25pm.
