The actor, who plays a high-flying MP, was sporting a T-shirt and hoodie as well as his fetching purple jim-jams and slippers.
And the 41-year-old star added to the image overhaul with a new blond hairdo instead of his usual dark locks.
Tennant will appear in the BBC drama as a politician whose wife's career suddenly eclipses his own.
The show, which will hit screens next year, casts the former Doctor Who star opposite Emily Watson and Ed Stoppard.
And heart-throb Tennant is set to be a busy man, as he's also signed up to play a cop in a major new ITV series.
The yet-to-be-named show has been inspired by cult Danish crime series The Killing.
It will cast the Scots actor as a police officer, solving crimes his colleagues cannot crack.
And as if that wasn't enough work to be getting on with, Tennant has only recently returned from Poland, where he was filming thriller Spies Of Warsaw.
He must be using a Tardis to fit all these jobs in.
