The music mogul was the victim of a prank from Cheryl on his last birthday.

She hired a pilot who flew around the X Factor boss's home in Beverly Hills with the message: "Simon Cowell is 52 today! Ha ha ha! Love Cheryl."

Age-concious Simon likes to keep his birthday quiet, but Cheryl wanted to tease the telly boss.

And now Simon has played the same trick on the Geordie singer, 29, just days ago, by using a skywriter to emblazon :"Cheryl - Congratulations. You're 30 next year! Ha ha ha," among the clouds.

Call My Name singer Cheryl spend the weekend in Las Vegas with pals Nicola Roberts, Kimberly Walsh and will.i.am to celebrate her birthday on June 30th.

She wrote on Twitter yesterday: "#Vegas #3daysnosleeps #1body2minds #gohardorgohome #wheresmybed."

And she added: "#DearVegas you win !! I officially bow down .. It wasn't a knock out i just took a graceful seat ! I came I saw YOU conquered #isaluteyou.."
