The Sun columnist was interviewed by stand-in host Nadia Sawalha for ITV1âs Lorraine programme this morning.
Standing outside the Palace of Holyroodhouse, in Edinburgh, she admitted that she felt nervous.
She joked to viewers: âI'll be absolutely fine. As long as I don't fall over and squash the Queen - that is my fear - I'll be fine if that doesn't happen."
Scottish telly star Lorraine, 52, has been honoured for her charity work and for supporting the Armed Forces.
Talking about her philanthropy, she explained: "I am an Honorary Colonel of the Black Watch Cadets, I support Help for Heroes, Tayside veterans, Poppyscotland, Sightsavers, MS Society, The Eve Appeal and Comic Relief."
And she added: "I'm so honoured to be awarded the OBE and it's even more special as itâs Her Majesty's Diamond Jubilee year."
Wearing a blue dress and burgundy hat, Lorraine told fans: âThe sun is shining, it's gorgeous, and it is so very special to be getting the award here in Edinburgh, it's fantastic."
And talking about the honour she said: "It's at Holyrood Palace just behind me, and I'm going to be here with lots of other people that are going to be getting honoured, and yes, it's going to be a really special day."
