The troubled actor, who was axed from US sitcom Two and a Half Men last year, stars as a former pro baseball player turned therapist in his latest show.
The 46-year-old plays Charlie Goodson, who holds anger management therapy groups at his home.
Charlie is sleeping with his best friend Kate, played by Cruel Intentions star Selma.
And in the series premiere, which aired on US channel FX last night, he was seen stripped off and in bed with the brunette beauty.
Charlie turns to Kate when he realises he still has his own anger issues after he takes a lamp and almost bashes his ex-wife's new boyfriend Sean, played by Brian Austin Green, over the head.
