The TV mentor said: "I'm not someone that wants to do that. I want to celebrate talent."
Price Tag singer Jessie joined The Voice this year after a guest slot supporting her pal Tulisa Contostavlos on the X Factor.
And talking about her role on the panel of BBC1 show, the 24-year-old told Free Radio: "There was no comedy act. It was not for pure entertainment.
"It was about vocals and talent and that's something that sometimes there isn't anything to criticise."
And she continued: "I think there's a misunderstanding in the public on what's nasty and what's constructive. I have been constructive and every time I'm constructive I get booed.
"There needs to be an understanding of what the audience wants. If they want constructive, then (Iâd do that) all day."
But the brunette admitted that the panel could toughen up, after they came under fire from fans for being too nice.
She said: "I definitely think that all coaches, myself included, could be more nitty gritty and how âourâ people are with us."
And she added: "At the same time, if you're nasty ... not nasty but if you're constructive then you get tarnished with the 'witch' brush. You've got to get the balance right."
And talking about rival talent shows such as X Factor and Britain's Got Talent which regularly feature over-the-top acts who make the audience crack up, she said: "I do think sadly, that people have got addicted to talent shows where people get laughed at and destroyed on stage. I'm not someone that wants to do that. I want to celebrate talent."
She also refused to confirm whether she would go back for series two saying she's "keeping her options open".
