The 80-year-old actor, who plays Ken Barlow, arrived at Weatherfield’s future home dressed in a suit despite yesterday’s warm weather.
The programme is relocating â€" taking the old set cobble by cobble â€" from central Manchester to a new eight acre studio and production facility.
It is due to be completed next spring.
